After Surgery Garments for Pressure Therapy

After Surgery Garments

Pressure Therapy is used as a complement to liposuction, abdominoplasty, and other cosmetic procedures. Pressure Therapy itself involves the use of after surgery garments that are designed to maintain shape and thus allow the return of the skin's smoothness while at the same time preventing the formation of edema or hematomas. Begun in some small practices, Pressure Therapy is now backed by clinical trials, and the plastic surgery garments, such as surgical bras, sold at AEC Cosmetics are tested and shown to be among the best on the market. We have combination girdles and standard girdles in black and white depending upon the patient's specific need.

Why Black and White Plastic Surgery Garments?

Plastic Surgery Garments

White and black girdles serve different purposes in the post-operation days. White girdles are made with a high quality fabric that is required for the treatment of the most delicate types of skin, including the treatment of skin that has been burned. These plastic surgery garments are also defined by their cut, seams, and the use of a double layer of fabric. Black girdles (or fajas post quirurgicas in Spanish) are made of elastomer and only use one layer of fabric with a lower density. They are completely elastic and hypoallergenic, ideal for use directly following the surgery, and the color prevents staining from liquids, greases, blood, or other fluids. The white girdle is ideal for use in the second or third day following surgery, and the black should be used immediately following the procedure and when the white girdle is being washed.
